Celcom Axiata Berhad just announced the launch of their new lifetime plan, Celcom MAX, which aims to be a one-stop plan for all home and mobile Internet needs to serve families, work, and business owners.
The plan combines both the Celcom Home Fibre and Celcom MEGA postpaid plans into a single bill for households of any size and for any purpose like online learning, WFH, entertainment, gaming, and so on.
Idham Nawawi, CEO of Celcom Axiata Berhad, shared in the launch today that throughout the pandemic, they saw more than 50% growth in their data traffic, which led them to offer this new plan developed by T Kugan, their Chief Emerging Business Officer.
A 24-Month Contract That Saves RM21/Month
Celcom MAX is available in 3 packages via a 24-month contract, and here’s what’s included in each package:
Their Mesh WiFi allows for up to 150 devices to connect to it. Each package will grant customers a free AX router from Celcom.
Dictionary Time: Mesh WiFi is a whole home WiFi system built to eliminate dead zones and to provide uninterrupted WiFi throughout your home.
The over-the-top (OTT) media services like iQiyi, iFlix, or DimSum that Celcom is offering won’t be the only ones available either. Celcom shared in their Q&A that there are more services that they plan to introduce soon.
If you sign up for Celcom MAX, once your contract expires after 24 months, you can still benefit from the RM21/month savings as long as your Celcom MEGA plan and Celcom Home Fibre plan remain active.
That being said, you can still purchase the Celcom MEGA plan and Celcom Home Fibre plan individually:
|Plans||Celcom Home Fibre (24-month contract)||Celcom MEGA|
|RM80 and above, which grants:
– Unlimited calls to all networks

First 100 Customers Get A Free First Month
From today until April 9, 2021, the first 100 customers that sign up for any Celcom MAX plans can get their first month’s bill waived.
During the Q&A, Idham also noted that these plans are in line with the national shutting down of 3G networks in the country to transition into 5G by December 31, 2021. Hence, it’s important that Malaysians are able to first migrate to a 4G environment and upgrade their devices accordingly, which is where Celcom is pitching in to ease the way.
